Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

This is such a easy river bet by hero, I cant under stand anyone that would not be this river. There is so much value to extract from hands that have called you all the way.

To call this shove or not......... 5.5k more to win a 20k + pot

depends on the read, if your against a mega rock id fold.

virtually anyone else id call this off.

The pf call is fine to balance...it's a fine spot for a 3b OR calling.

If I were the opposing player, I would assume hero has a straight on the turn. If I had a bare queen, I would call the turn... possibly wait for a very scary river card like this and check/ push to try to get another bare queen to fold. Doyle talks about this type of play in SuperSystem actually.

It's such a perfect spot for a bet like this... especially since Hero is unlikely to have a boat. Unlikely a set bets the turn, though I suppose it's possible.

Anyway, as hero, I call for these reasons expecting my KQ to beat a bare queen enough of the time for the call to be profitable. (plus i just hate to fold obv. lol)

All this being said, I'm gonna go look at the results now. :)

Hero called, Villain had AQ.
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
