Yeah, my balls crawled all the way up my esophagus when I got called. The push was simply a 'let me grab the blinds here since no one would call 400, right?' move. When he showed aces I almost felt relieved since I figured at worst I'm getting quartered. I imagine he thought the same thing.

I guess that could lead to another thread wondering on how much it's worth it to call a push with aces when you can safely put the pusher on aces himself. We might have done that one before, but I"m not sure I can call that every time with his hand, at least not that deep. You'd have to know that a reasonable amount of time he won't have aa I guess, and I don't think this guy knows me so his call is ok.

I gave a thought to parlaying it into the 5/10 game since the play there is generally hideous but didn't want to tempt fate any more.

calling an all in w AAxx for me depends a lot on villains pushing range. if it includes any AAxx, then AAWx is a call. if you throw in any big pair and/or low wrap hands, then i call with any AALx. if the range is AAWx, then i call only with AA2x or AA3x... maybe something like AA4x if x is a 5 or 6 and i have suits.

our little cake hh fiasco widened my calling range considerably against one lagtard -- it depends on if he knows i know... if you know what i mean.
