I was back in SD playing live again today. I have played at this casino a lot and know most of the dealers. One of the dealers sat down at the table and asked why she hadn't seen me in a while. I told her that I had spent some time in Vegas. She asked what games I played, I told her mostly 2/5 $500 max. Then comes the funny part, the guy who is sitting next to me is a guy who I have never played with, he asks me how the games were. He wants to go to Vegas, though he hasnt been there since he has started playing poker. He tells me that he has been playing for 6 months and he thinks he has is ready to play with the big boys. Then comes these two hands.
He is sitting to my left and when he looks at his cards he shows them to me every time. Of course I'm not about to tell him that. So hand1, he looks down at 9c 8c. I am not in the pot, flop is

. No preflop raise, utg who is a good player bets out $30, he thinks about it and calls. Turn is an offsut 6. UTG bets out $50, he thinks about it, picks his cards up and shows his hand shows it to me and the guy next to me and folds the nuts. He says "Flush Draw." When someone asks him what he had, I wasnt about to tell the world that he folded the str8.
So after this back to talking about Vegas, well him talking mostly. He has been playing every day and he thinks he's getting good, he doesnt go on tilt anymore. He thinks that he could make a living playing poker but his carpet cleaing business is going to well. Then hand 2. Flop is A102 in an unraised pot, 4 players to the flop. Mp bets $20 he calls so does utg. Turn pairs the 10, MP bets $40 he calls. River is 3 , Mp bets out $50, he pushes all in for $80. MP calls. He says I rivered you, and turns over 23. MP turns over Aj and rakes the pot and dumbass is left dumbfounded. I'm not sure if he missed that the board had paired or what but he left. And on the way out he said maybe I'll see you in Vegas this weekend.
Man I freakin hope so, I need 9 of him at every table I play for the rest of my poker life.
