Read his website. He's a money-grubbing whore.

The interviews and everything else I've seen of him conflicts with this, but the stuff on his web site is such a money grab it's almost pathetic.

I wonder if he had someone else write that trash for him...

Bigphish, are you talking about Raymer or Harrington.

I did watch ESPNs special on the 2004 WSOP and in that special, Raymer was nothing but class, especially in light of how he handles Josh A's punkish behavior with dignity.

I say he's just about the only personality I see on ESPN that I respect.

I played with Raymer before he was famous. I saw him this year at the Series the same day he testified in the trial of the guys who robbed him.

I am really really pulling for him to make the final table. He is truly the gentleman of poker. Fossilman really created the tradition of every one rising to shake the hand of someone who is knocked out. He has over and over in varied situations stood up for the mannerly, gentlemanly way to handle things. He has reacted to taunting, trash talk, and insults with the calmness of a Londoner. He has proved that his first victory was not just a fluke. Greg Raymer is a fine representative of the game and a role model for how a gentleman should behave.

Poker should also be entertainment with rules of behavior. Most of my half century of poker has been in the back rooms of Texas where acting nice was essential to stay alive.

I'm talking about Raymer. And I'm pointing out a contradiction.

His web site makes him look like a money-hungry dickhead. Go read it for yourself. http://www.fossilmanpoker.com.

His behavior EVERYWHERE but his web site is a stark contrast to that, and I agree with what everyone has said. That's probably the real Raymer. Classy, gentlemanly, good sportsman, all that jazz. The web site is just... well, it must've been authored by someone completely different and he didn't review it?

It's just strange.

I use http://www.cardplayer.com for chip counts and live updates. Once the tourney starts up again use this link: http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tournam ... een=result and click on the Live Updates Log tab. They provide frequent updates of estimated chip counts.

A friend of mine has been emailing them to me, he said he gets them off the World Series of Poker website, but I can't get there to confirm.

Also, Raymer is a gentleman, and while I don't necessarily root for him, it still pleases me when someone wins with class, someone told me that a lot of people were "gunning" for him this year, so he was able to build a butt-load of chips by playing his normal game of patience and strong cards. It looks like he dropped a lot of chips now, though.

Mike Paulle's blog on Poker Pages is usually fastest and most up to date. He's a great guy who seems to be going without sleep. Fossilman is really far back in the pack now.Tim Phan, Mike Matusow, Phil Ivey are looking great in the morning line. Are they or are they not going back downtown to Binion's for the final table? I have been going to google news poker to read what the world is saying and Raymer gets a lot of press.
