Neteller question

Postby poker2006 » Thu Jul 14, 2005 6:03 pm

Anyone used the Neteller ATM card to get money and knows how much the fee is?
Any issues using it?

After the tax related discussion it sounds like a reasonable alternative to taking out money through the bank.

I know what I think about it.... there are too many fees, you would be better off attaching your neteller account to a real bank account and using their ATM card that will probably have a VISA logo on it.

I play mostly Prima and transferring money to Prima from other sites before cashing out to PaySpark works best for me to get ATM convenience, even if it is more hassle to be moving money twice, and generally the bulk of my roll is at Prima anyways. PaySpark has increased their fee to $3.80 though and I am considering the bank account Neteller option now. Although most banks never charge me an additional withdrawl fee, some do. Because of this new increased fee I tend to take all my money out in cash that I want for the week at once, instead of using it as a debit card like last year. The other joy of PaySpark is that if you keep over $500 in the account you get interest but I don't remember the rate.

My post was supposed to be its own thread which it now is. I had to delete your correction of me or people wouldve thought you were talking to yourself after I moved my post.

Im going all in with KK every time from now on so I dont make any horrible mistakes as defined by over educated 24 years olds who have no common sense.

Almost every time money flows into your hands (in the U.S.), it's taxable as income. I can't see why deposit bonuses would be any different.

Online poker is not yet "legal" in the good ol' U.S. of A. Let's compare that to how the government chases after something else that's not legal - dealing drugs. They hit drug dealers on their felonies, sure. Then they turn them over to the IRS for additional spankings. And if they can't get 'em on the drug charges, they have a lot easier time getting them on tax evasion.

If the government wants to start chasing after online poker players, why would anyone think they won't go after them for tax evasion just as heavily as they go after drug dealers for tax evasion? Just because you make the money illegally doesn't mean you're exempt from paying taxes on it.

If your tax bill would have been large enough, it's not just financial any more; it's jail time.

If this "holier than thou" government we seem to have today keeps gaining strength, making any money at online poker is going to start making me nervous...

It's happened here in Detroit. The practice made the news quite frequently a few years ago.
