No one likes to open raise with [Qs], [Qd] and get re-raised.

Is the the BTN making a move with a big stack or does he have AA or KK? This is about my 10th hand at the table and I do have a read on him at all.

What is my best pre-flop and flop play here? Thanks

I think I lead into the raiser on the flop and see if he raises me. It takes a special type of aggressive maniac to raise you with AK/AQ there. However, he could have JJ and raise you with the worst hand or of course AA, KK or even QQ. This really shows the power of position.

He may have thought that I was bluffing him with a CR but if I had bet out that would have meant that I liked my hand. So betting out was a better move here.

QQ is a hard hand to play.

Thanks

it is a hard hand in that situation. I may be wrong though so wait til you hear from the real good players. However, I have had the same answer as Kenny recently so maybe I am actually right!

I will sometimes muck QQ on a serious re-raise. I will lay down QQ for a 2x re-raise from a good player and in a heart beat as well with an all-in re-raise.

Here ? hard to say.

Maybe some better players will give me their advice.

I have had QQ 9 times (2,400 hands) and am slightly ahead with it - I lost two big hands this being one of them.

This is the other - just bad luck here.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed)

MP1 ($108.50)
MP2 ($146)
Hero ($77)
CO ($413.60)
Button ($164.85)
SB ($71.45)
BB ($80)
UTG ($55.35)
UTG+1 ($158.85)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with [Qd], [Qh].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $2, MP1 raises to $4, 1 fold, Hero raises to $18, 4 folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls $14.

Flop: ($41) [4d], [4c], [Jh] (2 players)
MP1 bets $20, Hero raises to $59, MP1 calls $39.

Turn: ($159) [Ah] (2 players)

River: ($159) [Tc] (2 players)

Final Pot: $159
Main Pot: $159, between MP1 and Hero. > Pot won by MP1 ($159).

Results in white below:
MP1 has Jd Ad (two pair, aces and jacks).
Hero has Qd Qh (two pair, queens and fours).
Outcome: MP1 wins $159.
Don't lose your entire stack in an unraised pot or with only one pair.
