I did have to jump through some hoop initially to get up and running but have only great experiences since....I highly advise that you stick with it....

Never had a second's problem with neteller either. They always have my information up to date when I log in.

Vinny: Why are we stopped here? What's wrong with that spot?
Tyrone: It's too tight.
Vinny: Too tight? You could land a jumbo f*cking jet in that.

Wow, such rave reviews.

I just got off the phone with customer service. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly and effectively they dealt with my issue. I'm also very pleased with their security measures.

Maybe I'll give them another shot... we'll see.

I'll have to agree with everyone else. never had a problem. If you just started the account, it takes some time before your money gets into the account. Once its there, I've had nothing but speedy transfers and updates.

Bri, it's not the money's "safety" I had the problem with... it's that I COULDN'T SEE IT or do anything with it except withdraw it via some other site (i.e. put it into a poker site).

And then I had to call customer service to even see the menu that enables me to manage my account, see balances, etc.

This after I've verified my bank account _AND_ made at least one deposit and one cashout.

Seems a huge PITA to me, and why? Why not show me the full menu at sign-up or account verification? Why make me make that phone call?

No other site makes me jump through that hoop...

i don't know why you have that problem. I can see all that fine. I guess its a glitch with your account that doesn't show it when you log in.

The guy I chatted with via their LiveHelp made it seem like that's just the way it works. You don't get to see the "full" menu until you call.

you do have to have a live conversation for security purposes to open the account but I've never heard of having to call otherwise.

Well that's interesting.

So I can move money from my bank account to Neteller, then from Neteller to a poker site, then back into Neteller...

... all without having that live conversation...

But I can't see how much I have in the account?

That doesn't sound very secure.

I could see it being "security" if they wouldn't let me move money in or out before I talked to them.

Anyway, you guys all seem pretty high on this service. I actually haven't seen anything negative about Neteller yet. I've got a very tiny amount of money in it right now. We'll see where we go from here.

But odds are I stick with Firepay. At least they don't try to hide my account information from me until I figure out I have to make a phone call... ;)

There is a menu item when you are logged into your account to see your balance, it just isn't the first page they put up.

I like neteller for what it is, but pretty much just use them to transfer funds from one place to another and do withdrawl a different way.
