Shrimp Fettucini

Postby piersmajestyk » Fri Aug 12, 2005 10:29 am

It has been a while since I cooked this dish but broke it out today and I sincerely don't know why it has been so long as it is just damn good.

Saute about half of a big onion with a few good mushrooms in butter (splurge a little to get the good ones). After the onions become clear and the mushrooms are softened add a tablespoon or so of Thyme or Basil and then a heaping spoon of flour. Immediately stir in a cup of milk and simmer for a few minutes. When done add some crushed almonds to the mix.

In another skillet saute 5 or 6 cloves of crushed garlic with about 3/4 to 1 lb of shrimp in butter. When the shrimp are pink they are ready, nothing wrong with retrieving one with your fork just to make sure

I like the spinach fettucini but regular will do. When the fettucini is done combine both skillets and then mix with your fettucini. Open a bottle of white wine and enjoy.
