but what about - 3 card wraps with middle pair but 3 suited cards? assume that three suited [esp when not the A] is bad...like


this is really dumb of me to ask but is wrap features the same as straight features? connected cards basically capable of making straights.

first off, those first hands are garbage like you said. You are looking for 4 cards that work well together.

second, mid wrap hands like 9987 with 3 to a suit isn't that great of a hand. If you hit your set, you are vunerable still. your flush is garbage as you have an extra of the suit and its only 9 high. I would possibly play that in late position for a limp. Don't get too attached to it. Hands like that and 5678 and such, you are looking for specific flops if not, you dump it.

I've always considered wrap features different than straight features. AK78 has straigh features, but not wrap features since you will only get a gutshot or an open ended draw. however, JT86 has wrap features is fhte flop comes 97Q as many cards make you a straight.

i'd say that a raise with your last hand in position if you hit your flop will give you action, that's the only beauty of that hand,
for instance I played this garbage and flop quads, the river is questionnable but..
