hey,
there something in france that sucks among other things, it s that popular TV series come here about 1 year after it is broadcasted in the US.
I d like you to give me some hints about actual popular TV series atm, so that I could download them..
I d like something with action, some kind of violence, and if girls are tremendous that a non negligeable advantage...
Among my favorite tv shows, is Oz, 24, Alias, etc...

Battlestar Galactica.

Hot, HOT woman (just 1, unfortunately), political intrigue, plot twists, violence, all in a sci-fi setting.

euri,

"Lost" had its first season in the states this past year and it was tremendous. I think you would really like it. I don't know if you watch "CSI" or if you get it over there or not, but they are pretty good as well.

Oh and one other thing "OZ" was my all time favorite show when it was on. "24" I think might rank as #2.

Also, if you haven't already, watch the "Band of Brothers" mini series. It is excellent!

Ok, no violence, no car chases, no girls, but aside from those shortcomings, the best series I've seen in years is House. Even the reruns are great. Dr. Greg House is truly a fascinating character. A TV character smarter than the audience? Yeah! I hope they can keep up the quality.

Cactus Jack,

I could not agree more. I can't believe I did not recommend this one earlier. House is an excellent show!

Sorry, guys, but I simply cannot stand anything Bruckheimer has ever done or ever will do. The guy has never actually met a real character in his life. They are all cardboard cutouts, going all the way back to Days of Thunder, Top Gun, and my most hated dog of a movie of all time--Pearl Harbor. God what a piece of crap that was!!! Everything he does is silly action garbage. I couldn't stand his stuff, even stoned, when I think I could make fun of anything.

I can live with Law and Order clones everywhere, but cannot abide CSI.

Hey, has anyone seen ONE damn program coming out this next season that's even worth a look??? I haven't. Not one? It's swamp gas out there.

CSI is wooden, no particular character development, but it's okay, certainly wouldn't buy any of the DVD's.

Pearl Harbour was turd.

New TV show from last year? American Dad baby. Pure goofiness gotta love it.

If you like Family Guy, that is. On the other hand, if you have any class, taste, or are offendable in any way, you should probably skip them both.

Usually, when Fox has a show with some elements that will offend middle America, they run a disclaimer that says, "Due to graphic violence [brief nudity/whatever], viewer discretion is advised." Last night's rerun of American Dad said only "Viewer discretion is advised." They didn't say WHY viewer discretion was advised. I didn't catch much that was offensive, you know, apart from the whole show. But I'm thinking they maybe had one particular joke in mind.

Here's the quote (probably not quite accurate):

"You might as well just take that broom, put lube on the handle, bend me over, and sweep me right out the door!"

For some reason, I thought immediately about this forum when I heard that....
