PokerGadget? Now this seems like cheating for sure.

Postby SebQtaneus » Mon Aug 22, 2005 11:19 pm

I would have posted this in the software section but noone has posted there in almost 2 weeks so I didn't know if this would even be seen.
I was playing at Party the other day and in the chat box this message came across advertising a program called PokerGadget. It purported to show you what the hole cards of all your opponents are. Now if that isn't cheating, then sign me up. JK. In my book it would be cheating. Anyway I went to their website to see what was what and now I am wondering if it's just a hoax. I am hoping it is or I might have to quit playing. Has anyone had any experience with it or anyone that they know of that has tried it? I can't imagine that poker sites would be worried at all about programs like PokerTracker if stuff like PokerGadget is real and is out there.
If you want to check it out here is the link.

I went back to their website after making the original post and read their terms and conditions. One of the first things I saw was a reference to Dirtypokertricks.com so I googled it to see if it even existed and this is what I found "Site temporarily down for maintenance/redesign. If you need product support, contact: support@dirtypokertricks.com. Thank you." So I am "guessing" that this is some kind of scam to get lazy scumbag cheater wannabe's who don't want to actually learn how to play poker to fork over $50 to some dude in his basement who know's a little about human nature. If this is true then I feel much better now. But I'd like to see the folks who are running this scam laid out on a poker table in front of me and lit on fire. It's bad enough that there are people out there would actually use something like this if they could but it's even worse that there are people out their who want to help them do it.

Don't trust a site without a forum. I'm sure if they had one you would find out that it's bogus.

Oh I wouldn't trust them even if it was real. A program like that would be a nightmare to us all. I checked it out to make sure for my own peace of mind that I wasn't going to be giving my money away in the future if it was real.

Don't know about pokergadget, but PokerAce (it's like GT+) shows you people's hole cards after the hand (i.e, what they mucked).

It's nice b/c you don't have to go hunting through the hand histories. Maybe this is what this software is saying it will do??

This is a total scam. Ask yourself this: If someone had created a program that would allow them to see the hole cards of other players why tell anyone about it? Just sit at the $2000 NL tables and clean up all day long. Don't even give these guys the satisfaction of checking out there website. I hate scabs like these.
