I think I got it too. I wish I had read this riddle earlier, because if I am right it only took me like ten seconds to figure it out.

BigPhish, no, pieces don't HAVE to be the same size. 14 pieces is great! Maybe tougher to arrive at this answer than the best answer.

K3nt's right, it IS real easy, IFFFF you think of it.
