The CO was a semi-loose neutral and my session was going pretty good. Sometimes if I'm in a bad session I'll play real weak but here I just wasn't sure what to do.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

Outcome: Hero wins 8.75 BB.

There's a few ways you can play it. You could call the flop and as long as the turn doesn't bring a scare card (4th club), raise it on the turn. Or you could re-raise the flop, which would probably shut him down. Either way, he just threw away his money at you here.

My thinking is to call the flop and raise the turn if it isn't a club.

Raising the flop has its own merits, but I tend to find that in this situation, headsup, most people at lower limits will not fold any club, nor top pair. (sometimes less than top pair), so go with the option that gets the most value for you, instead of trying to muscle them out of the pot.

I don't know if this is correct, but it seems to work for me.
