You have a rectangular room...12' square on both ends and 30' long...so 12x12x30'
At one of the ends is a fly, who is right in the middle of the 12' wall but 1' above the floor.
At the opposite end is a spider, who is in the middle of the 12' wall but 1' below the ceiling.
What is the minimum distance the spider would have to crawl to reach the fly?
(he's a very smart spider...no tricks...must stay on a wall, ceiling or floor at all times, no shooting webs, again, no tricks, and no, the fly never moves)
Can submit answers on thread, questions, jokes, cracks, sarcasm, etc. This one is truly worthy of BPT'ers. Being mathematically inclined and a lot of common sense will certainly help...
