Guy bluffs me off Jacks on a paired board for about 1/4 buy in pot, he showed his missed KTh no pair no draw. The bluffer jabbers for a while in the chat about how he had to bluff because he thought I had AA.

I play a less than 1/4 buy in pot with QQ vs KQ on a K high flop pushing all in vs the short stack that leads. I am over a double up when gambling like this, the bluffer laughs.

Someone elses raised pot and I have 55 on a 58Q two diamonds board, I lead for just under the pot, raiser calls, bluffer from the first hand min raises, I push, original raiser folds, bluffer calls with QJ spades. $245 pot $100NL

Who is "tilting" now? Man it is nice outclassing an opponent, I had planned to push against him with any reasonable very strong hand where he showed interest after the first bluff. Bluffer prattles on that he thought i was on the flush draw for a few minutes before leaving.

One thing I've learned from you guys is not to sweat the BS. Just wait. A hand will come when you can pounce on them, winning back what they "stole" and their chips as well. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

You can learn some valuable information from chat actually. Who's on tilt? Who is mad at who? If player a gives a bad beat to player b, and player b 3 bets player a's raise, then I will often give less credit to player b's 3 bet. Things of that nature.

Sometimes chat is useful.

People who are swearing at each other, acting like TW and Monk in a fight to abuse each other (but without the friendly undertones that I ... think ... are there between TW and Monk) -- those people bringing that kind of banter to a public poker table are (a) immature and (b) angry. Usually their play is also immature and bad, especially right after the arguments, but also in general: immature people make impatient plays.

Also, people who make comments about implied odds, folding equity, or any other slightly advanced concept get marked down in my book as knowing something about poker. Unless they get the concepts completely wrong, in which case they get marked down as morons who think they know more than they do - one of my favorite kinds of fishies.

I enjoy table talk and some people I play enough to have developed a "friendship" of sorts. I don't mind friendly banter, and love it when someone goes off on a crazy rant, pushing other people's buttons is always nice too

I like to rattle on playing live too, and think there is room for some friendly ribbing in a card game.
