The competition on UB's SnG

Postby hean2 » Sun Sep 11, 2005 1:53 pm

Hi all,

I am playing the $5+.50 sng at UB and it is going better than I expected with the use of Nash's system (thank you Nash!) found in this forum but I want to now how the competition is on the bigger levels like $10 and $20 and higher, when do you hit more tougher levels?

I am better with SnG for some reason, in cash games I tend to loose more then winning but when i play sng i tend to finish ITM 1 out of 3 SnG played, I have not been playing any massive amount yet (60+) but I am curious about the bigger levels. :D

stick to the level your at for a longer period of time, before you decide to move up to another level would be my advice. you only played 60+ sng's and may be on a good run right now, but I would stick at the level your at.

Yeah, I'd wait before I moved up. I play on Party, and I definitely noticed a difference when I moved up from the $11s to the $22s. Overall, I think people are tighter. Last night I played at a full table with 50-100 blinds, another had eight players left with 75-150 blinds. You won't see that at the lower levels. Which is fine by me, because it allows me to steal more.

Why aren't you playing for bonuses? You can clear decent bonuses with the $10 SnG's at BoDog, Pokerroom, Americas Cardroom, Hollywood and Angels poker. Even Full Tilt has a bonus that is easier to clear with SnG's. The extra money will always help as you're starting out. Get another 200 games in or so at the $10 level at these sites and then move up to $20 while still getting bonuses. The bonuses will help ease the varience and even a minor downswing when you move up. As I see it, there's not much reason to play unless you're getting a bonus.

I feel so stupid. Just realized my rakeback is so low because I have been playing $1.00 + $.10 SnG's.
