Quite the little political dialogue here. Hopefully its lighthearted amongst friends.

Here's the difference between Bill Clinton and George Bush in my opinion:

Bill Clinton believed the Office of the President could be used to serve him.

George Bush serves the Office.

When leaders believe they are beyond reproach, we are in trouble. I stand by my original statement that whether you think George Bush is a fool or dumb or the antichrist or whatever, at least he takes responsbility which is the core of good leadership.

I cannot recall a single time where Clinton stepped up and took responsbility for something really harmful (esp. if the polls indicated it was unpopular).

And another quick point.

It is logically inconsistent to argue that Bush is stupid and also argue that he can mastermind all of these insidious things. He can't be both.

Having said all that, I have to say trodgers is living on a totally different planet from me. Bush is the ultimate example of using the presidency mainly to enrich his friends. Clinton totally believed in using government to do the right thing for people.

However, I predict that arguing about this one back and forth won't produce much of value. I just had to put my disagreement out there for the record.

At some point, I will try to post a run-down of all the episodes of incredible incompetence and corruption shown by this administration. At least a couple dozen points come to mind, but it'll take a while to catalog them all.

Bush is a republican. They all want to enrich their friends. Democrats all want to spend all of our money on useless social programs that dont work.

I dont agree with either of these policies.

You would think a political party that represents the middle class would spring up since thats 80% of the countyr (IM guessing on that number). neither party represenst US. The middle class.

I dont remember the names of the other who committed suicide but im pretty sure there were 4 of them.

Wasnt Clinton almost IMPEACHED? Even though he wasnt, just the fact that they had an impeachment vote which is VERY rare should tell you something. How can you stand behind someone like that?

Please give me a list of diabolical things that Bush has done that makes you dislike him so much. And the war doesnt count. That war was coming sooner or later and all parties are to blame. We helped arm Saddam....we helped arm Bin Laden...we helped arm lots of people who turned against us later and Im quite sure whoever ends up in control of Iraq will turn against us later also. At least it will take them along time to be a threat to us again.

I will repeat again. WHEN a middle eastern country with a fanatical leader (which most of them are) gets long range nukes, we have a problem that will not be fixed anywhere near this easily (and Im not saying this war is easy).

I'd vote for McCain. He won't run though... Republicans won't let him. He's not conservative enough and he doesn't treat all Dems as blood enemies.
