And boy did I have a lot of bullets to dodge here! It seemed almost impossible the set could hold up on that board 4-handed, I was pretty disgusted when the river fell but then ecstatic as the pot was surprisingly pushed my way!

A little lesson in here about always keeping your stack topped up nicely in this game, as I'd have won another $40 from this pot if I had done so. On the bigger tables (200 and 400 buyins) I usually leave it until i'm down to 90% of my starting stack before rebuying; here I had 90% less 30 cents lol! Unless you're specifically playing short on purpose, it's always smart to refill after you get to somewhere in the 90-95% region.

Fun hand though, the first really big pot i've taken down in PLO high in a long while, and going to do my monthly figures no harm at all.

well, one day with your help, i might be playing that game. However, still got a long way to go. You had plenty of outs on the river and hit none of them and still won the pot. Always feels good. Good Job.

I'm sure you twodimes'd it already. That looked easy to me! Very nice pot.. overpair with nutflush draw. and no st8 possible til river.

Oh, easy all in on the turn. Even though you know that in that spot there'll be a stack of outs for your opponents, there's no way that you can't be +ve EV to get it all in with the current nuts. Any blank high card, any board pair (though not in this case!), any heart and I win a big pot. My two biggest pots in the PLO games (both in the 800-odd region) have come in these spots - all in on the turn and dreading about half the cards in the deck, with the current nuts! On one fun occasion I had top set, jacks, with two flushes and a straight draw on board, $750-odd in the middle; a jack spiked on the river to give me the perfect hollywood finish!
