I always hate seeing the Colts ahead of the Pats as the Pats have beaten on them the last couple of years...I know that these are 2005 rankings so I will digress.....

I don't know Ice....while I agree that the Steeler's and Pats are pretty close, the Pats have the Colt's number......not only the last couple of playoff knockouts, but a big win in Indy a couple of year's ago.....Manning has no answer for Belicheck to date!

Cincy's 3-0, and while they have beat nobody's, they have looked goooood doing it. I am not a Bengals fan by any means, but credit where credit's due.

Yes, I agree, but I just cant figure out how theyre doing it. I break down every position and the Pats just dont look like a dominant team.

They have a very good team and I think they have all the intanglibles , like coaching, game planning and sacrfices by players for the good of the team.

Don't feel bad. Nobody else can, either. Not coaches, not management, not writers, not fans. Coaching plays a bigger role in football than perhaps any other sport. It comes down to one word, one man.

He's just the Kasparov of football. Everything in the Patriots organization goes through him. Maybe even the hot dog concessions. If he fumbles one single thing, none of what they've accomplished would have ever happened. I guess he didn't. He got every single thing right. He's picked the right players. He has made all the right decisions in the off-season, regular season, post-season and draft. It's like the Theorum of Poker. If his opponent makes a mistake, he wins. If his opponent doesn't make a mistake, he wins. If he makes a rare mistake, he still wins because his opponent makes more mistakes. He's the master of his domain.

Genius is an overused word. If there is something beyond it, he's it. He not only works hard, but he works very, very smart. He gets the most out of his players, and he gets the most out of himself. A very rare trait indeed.
