The most I've been stuck in one session/day is...

$120

OK, so I play low limits ($25 PLO8 mostly). This was certainly the worst run of bad beats I have ever seen (I was stacked 4 times when I was a 3:1 favorite or better early in the session -- also got quartered two or three times). I came back to make it only -$80. I won about $120 the previous day, so it didn't really hurt my BR.

Anyway, I am interested in this stat for other people. By "stuck", I mean the lowest you have been at any point during a day or session (not just the end).

Negreanu talks about his first time being stuck a million, and Ivey asking him if he popped is "million dollar cherry". Negreanu came back in style.

I also am reminded of Monk being stuck for over $1k (after running roughshod over the same tables for over three large the previous few days). Geez, did he sound like a whining little b!tch.

Anyway, I have to think that the $1k and $10k levels are nice cherries to pop. If you can take it, it most likely means you're a big winner.

Comments?

i was stuck about 250 once playing 100nl and I haven't been back since.

at $50 level, I've been down 150.

At 25PLO, I've been down about 110 or so but came back to be down like 50.

I don't have many of these big loss session but I don't have very many big win sessions either. However, I normally am a consistent 1-2 buy in winner about 70% of sessions.

I went down $350 in less than an hour at NL100 once, I immediately quit to stop myself from doing something stupid and punched a hole in my wall, that session ended up costing me well more than $350 if you count the security deposit consequences although I thought I fixed it pretty well, I guess I just couldn't get the paint match perfect. Fucking landlords.

6 handed limit with a LAGGY style? Mucho Variance.

The Blackjack loss was at 3 casinoes (Mirage, Caesars palace and Treasure Island). The only good point of this story is that I had won nearly 25K over the previous month at BJ, mainly from the Mirage. I was counting cards as always as this was once my primary source of income before turning to poker. I just had a terrible run at the Mirage while waiting on my poker seat (-10K). I would have continued there but they said they needed some ID to bring me more chips so I declined. I sat in the 40-80 holdem game soon after and won more than 5K on a tremendous run of cards, after which I went to Caesars palace and treasure Island and dropped another 12K. So one of my best days ever at poker was marred by a deadly run at the BJ tables. I did get comped to S &R and Mystere with some nice seats for 22K

You lose 22K on Blackjack and they try and cheer you up with free tickets to Seigfried and Roy

My worst losing streak was 12buy ins, most of it was tilting. I could say 5 were bad beat after bad beat and 7 donations. That was long ago. I quit tilting now...it is EV- .

My last and the worst ever lossiing streeak was about 6buy ins at NL$50. Unbelieveable the things that happened on that one. Crazy shit one after another. I think there wasnt a gutshot str8 drawer that didnt hit on that streak and most of them were not against my TPTK, they were against my Top Set...i still dont know how i didnt lose my whole bankroll on that one.

For one day, I think the most I have lost is 4buy ins at NL$25, playing badly. Now, two buy ins down in a long session seems like a disaster but it happens....
