Amazing Sports Weekend

Postby Cactus Jack » Mon Oct 17, 2005 5:46 am

What an incredible weekend for an American Sports Fan. Tight, well played baseball games. Houston taking a 3-1 lead on a play at the plate and out of this world twin-killing to end the game, now 1 game from their first World Series. The White Sox making it to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1959. Great pitching, all the way around.

College football--unbelievable. My thumb is worn out from all the remote clicking. LSU-Florida, Michigan-Penn State, and USC-Notre Dame, all on at the same time. Games decided in the very last seconds. The level of play in the USC-ND game was as high as I've ever seen in college football. Amazing.

The NFL. Nuff said.

I'm glad I've got five days to recover before next weekend.

OMG, a Teasipper? How'd we let this guy in here?

Go Hogs, or, as my Daddy would say, "Gig 'em, Aggies."

btw, the Razorbacks had a quarterback named Matt Jones who's preparing a position for the Texas QB, when he finishes his eligibility. (Note I didn't say graduates.) :)

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.
