ICE rankings ...week7

The battle for number #2 continues.

1) Indy.....After looking closely at their schedule, its apparent that there defense isnt as good as I thought. They played 5 bad offenses and then when they played the Rams, they got ambushed. If Bulger didnt get hurt, the Rams couldve won this game. I think the Rams WOULDVE won. Indy is still far and away the best team. I put some money on Indy on the second half line only. The 2nd half line was Indy -11 and once Bulger was out, I knew it was going to get ugly. Cha-Ching!

2) Denver....Denver is pretty much solid at every position. Theyre not dominant anywhere, but they dont have many weaknesses either. Denver over NE was my game of the week and I made a little cash on it.

3) Pittsburgh....some of you may question this one, but if you saw the Jax game, you would know that Pitt dominated that game after the 1st 8 mins in every aspect of the game EXCEPT for QB. Maddox is horrendous. Rothlisberger is the highest rated passer in the league. Last year was not a fluke. The only 2 QBs in the entire league that I would rather have are Brady and Manning. Big Ben is back this week for the big Cincy game. Its ON!

4) Jacksonville.....Surprise! Jacksonville isnt on everyones radar, but ive been saying all year to look out for them. Theyve played...Denver, Indy, Pitt and Cincy....those teams are a combined 19-3...but even with that schedule, Jax is 4-2.

5) Cincy.....Cincy almost lost to Tenn, which wouldve made my day. We find out if they are for real or not this week against Pitt. The only decent team Cincy has played is Jax and they lost

6) SD

7) Dallas....I think Dallas has made great strides this year, but mark my words. This is the beginning of the end for Dallas. Drew "the statue" Bledsoe is having a career year, but hes doing it with smoke and mirrors and the mirror just cracked. Julius Jones is down. Patrick Crayton is out about a month and Flozell Adams is out for the year. Beldsoe will get more pressure with Adams out. Bledsoe cant move and will crack under a heavy rush. Trust me!

8) Tampa Bay...QB situation is a big problem.

9) Atlanta...Why dont they just move Vick to WR or RB and admit that he cant read a defense? Hes probably the fastest guy in the league and I think hes got the strongest arm in the league, but that means nothing if he cant figure out where to throw the ball.

10) Seattle...At the end of the Sunday night broadcast, Theissman said "Tell me someone in the NFC playing better than Seattle right now....then one of the other talking heads said "tell me someone in the whole NFL". Get a life. They blew Houston out. Stop the presses!

Philly...you have to win a game after the Dallas blowout to get back in my rankings

Carolina...memo to John Fox....letting Mushin Muhaamed go was a collassal mistake. You have a championship defense and your offense SUCKS!. Your RB is old... your backup RB is injury prone and has never shown to be as good as advertised...your QB has a powder puff arm. The only NFL QB I can remember with a weker arm was Steve Walsh (or maybe Danny Wuerffel). You let your pro bowl WR go? Why? If it was for salary cap reasons then you are overpaying alot of guys because I only see one pro bowler on your roster and thats Peppers. Beating Det by 1 point in the last seconds doesnt impress me.

NE...I know youve had a tough schedule but these are the teams you'll be playing in the playoffs and you cant beat them. Jax's schedule is just about as tough and theyre managing to get thru it.

Cant beat them??

More like can't beat them all (SD, DEN, CAR)...but how bout big raod wins at Pittsburgh and at Atlanta? and don't give me the no Vick thing because the Pats have had plenty of guys miss action.

With that said, I could put them no higher than 8 or 9 myself....

It will interesting to see them climb as their mow through their remaining schedule and when Seymour, Dillon, and Bruschi return, watch out!!

seymour, dillon, and bruschi arent going to do much to protect brady, and that is where your problems start on offense when he is getting hit every throw
