I've got the solo and the intro down, the rest is sweeps and/or stuff on the low B string, which of course, I don't have.
Partake in my bollocks, bloody chav!

You've got a pretentious metalhead here (Not my opinion, but I've been told by two separate people now, so it might be true, even if I don't want to admit it :x ).

Currently Playing: Motorhead - Speedfreak

A few other Bands I like:

Megadeth
Testament
Exodus
Anthrax
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Arch Enemy
Dark Tranquillity
Trivium
Soilwork
Children of Bodom
Nightwish

I just seem to love guitar solos, probably a bit more than is really healthy

I'm more on Sunbob's wavelength...

Call me a wussy (WUSSSYYYYYYYYY), but bossa nova (esp. Stan Getz) definitely aids my concentration more than anything else. I've written hundreds of pages of papers listening to this stuff, and it just can't be beat. It seems to add about 25-30% more productivity to my writing (no joke) when compared to no music or other music. It also keeps me mellow at the tables.

Miles Davis' smooth stuff is good, too (e.g., Kind of Blue).

Still, Getz and bossa nova top my list.

Heyyyyyy Getz is one of my all-time favourite jazz artists. Certainly of the more contemporary ones. John Coltrane is up there too. Given that I really love accoustic guitar playing, have to mention my other two main ones, Django and Charlie Christian.

I also like brubeck, davis, monk, gillespie, those sorta guys, and some of the real oldies from new orleans too. As for singers I prefer the more blues-tinged ones, so billie and helen humes and the like, some nina simone I don't mind. More of a blues fan really but jazz floats my boat too.
