Textbook Weak/Tight Calling Station

Postby Tiburon » Tue Nov 15, 2005 9:30 am

Best part is that the guy admitted it...3 to a flush on board and I hold the naked ace. I lead, he raises, I just call (I know). I end up bailing on the river brick.

This hand, though, takes the cake--it's not a bad beat, he had me all the way, but damn...Call-Call-Call-Raise.

PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [7d], [8d].
4 folds, Hero raises, Button calls, 2 folds.

Flop: (5.40 SB) [4d], [7h], [Tc] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Turn: (3.70 BB) [9s] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (5.70 BB) [8c] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.70 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has 7d 8d (two pair, eights and sevens).
Button has Jd 9d (straight, jack high).
Outcome: Button wins 9.70 BB.

He is 24/6/1.14, all AF's under 45%, with river being highest...
