i've played in the 4.40 sngs won my first two easily. went on and won the 24+2 sng. played in the tier 3 69+6 sng and bubbled out 4th.
these are definetly beatable if you're good.
I will dedicate 50 bucks max from my roll to the 4.40 sngs. my goal is to win 10 $26 tokens then move on to tier two and win as many tier 3 tokens that i can.

All i know is that the SNGs at FTP are very, VERY beatable. I have a small sample size but I think i have a ROI of 170%+ over the 40 or so i've played at FTP..
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

I just deposited $50 into FTP last night, going to play the $4.40s until the money runs out and collect as many $26 tokens as I can. Once the cash is gone, I'll play through the $26s until those tokens run out, and then move onto the $75s and play those until those tokens run out. And then I'll see how much cash I have on that $50 investment. It might take a week or two, but I'll let you know my final result.

First night, I played two $4.40s, won one $26 token.

So my score:
1 $26 token.
$41.20 cash.

I put $40 into it and walked away with 3 $26 tokens.

Now I need to figure out if I'd rather use those to play the big guarantee tourneys or hit the S&G tiers.

I used one of them already on the $14k guarantee this past Saturday. I'm proud to say that I was the chip leader (double the next guy) at the 2nd break, but not so proud to say lost it all within 15 minutes of hitting the money. I learned a lot in that tourney though, and I'm confident that if I can be near the chip lead at the bubble, I can make it to the final table.

Hmm.... decisions, decisions...

Bagged another token Wednesday p.m. into this a.m. A comeback victory, got behind but kept my head above water long enough to get into a long, well-played three-handed match. We all traded chips back and forth for quite awhile until I called a miniraise from the big blind with T9 offsuit and hit a sweet flop of 99T. That crippled one guy who kept betting into me (I couldn't get him all-in on the river) and hurt the other guy. Went into heads-up about even-stacked, but the guy was passive and let me have my way.

6 $4.40 entries
2 $26 tokens
$23.60 cash.

Guess that's a 33% ITM, 51% ROI -- not bad when only two places pay out of nine seats.

Don't know if anyone's reading this or not, but I started it, so ...

Played two more just now, a first and a second.

Built a huge chip lead late in the first one by taking a short stack out and severely crippling the big stack when I flopped a flush. Short stack was all-in before the flop, and the big stack also flopped a flush, but a baby one. I didn't have the nuts, A on the board, I had QJ. I went all-in to prevent getting nailed with another diamond with him holding the K. When he called, though, I was sure he had it. But he showed 85 or something like that.

Anyway, that left us with three players, I had 10,000-plus chips and the other two had somewhere around 1,200 each, so I just went all-in on every hand until I knocked them both out.

The second one, got heads-up about even in chips. I took a few of his chips on the first few hands, on about the sixth one, I had 98s, flop came 9TJ with one of my suit. I bet, he raised all-in and I went. He had a J and it held up, he took me out a couple of hands later.

Here's the score:
8 $4.40 entries
3 $26 tokens
$24.80 cash (got $10 for the second place).

Yes, you can use the $24+2 and $69+6 tokens for any tournies that match the buy-in value.

A quick update:

I've played 15 of those $4.40s now. I've placed in the last four I've played -- two firsts and two seconds. Just about the time I get down to only having enough cash left for one more, I nail a second-place finish for $10 in cash to give me enough to play a couple more.

These things are really a piece of cake if you play solid poker. Usually only about half the field is left when the blinds are still at 25/50, and people will call you down with stuff like a low pocket pair with four overcards on the board.

In one I played this morning, there were four of us left. I had about 1100 in chips with blinds at 50/100, and the other three were bunched with around 3,000 each. I caught a 44 UTG+1 and decided to go for it, guessing that neither of the other three would want to call with them so bunched together.

UTG raised to 350 and I pushed. SB folded, and BB called my all-in, and UTG folded. He showed KJ. KJ??????? My 4s held up, and I took the lead and KJ was crippled. I ended up taking second place in this one.

Anyway, here's my score:

15 entries
5 $26 tokens
$17.70 in cash
That's $147.70 total on my initial $50 investment (I added $2.50 in cash hitting a milestone on my $25 deposit bonus).
