Too much betting?

Postby JJSCOTT2 » Tue Jan 24, 2006 7:38 pm

Turns out I won this hand but immediately after the hand was over I was thinking there was about a gazillion ways for me to have been beat there and I'm not really sure why I played the river the way I did. I supposed it could have been some weird instinct or something, but then again, maybe not. Who slows down on this river?

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 9 handed)

UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) [Js] (2 players)

River: (5.75 BB) [8s] (2 players)

Outcome: Hero wins 13.75 BB.
