Too aggressive?

Postby redhouse » Sun Jan 29, 2006 2:39 am

Hero: posts small blind

----- HOLE CARDS -----
dealt to Hero [Ad] [Qd]
UTG: raises
MP1: folds
Button: folds
Hero: calls
BB: folds
BB sits out

----- FLOP ----- [6d] [Js] [5d]
Hero: checks
UTG: bets
Hero: raises
UTG: calls

----- TURN ----- [6d] [Js] [5d] [Qh]
Hero: bets
UTG: raises
Hero: raises
UTG: calls

Should I be backing off to his turn raise?

Reads: BB had a vpip of about 5% over 100+ hands and UTG is semi-loose extremely aggressive, but can make a laydown. I just called expecting BB to fold anyway (just to keep UTG guessing). Should I have 3-bet preflop?

Yeah - thats what I thought too.

Results: I river a flush with a [9d] and bet. He raised, I 3-bet, he capped, mucked, and bitched about fish busting his sets. A couple of the decent players at the table started going after me after that, thats why I was somewhat doubtful... thought maybe I got carried away with the mizorliness.

Looked up the HH later. He actually had K10o. Perfect river huh.
