This is also a good technique when raise from the CO/BT and the BB/SB donks into you when you hit a piece HU. A lot of time they will bet all the way with A high or a small pair.

Its actually a really good peice of information- i know i do this alot, when i have a pretty strong TP type of holding and some mizor is firing it into me headsup. Sometimes ill raise the river, but usually ill puss out on the end since after five cards are out, even if its unlikely, there just looks like too much crap out there that could beat a one-pair holding.

LIke here, i seriously doubt i couldve gotten 44 to pay me off this much had i raised it anywhere.
