Yep. It helps to be able to datamine with PT or follow around loose players, but it's pretty annoying if you're like me and just want to jump into a game ASAP. At lower limits, or when I'm clearing a bonus, I don't care about table selection as much as getting in a game as fast as possible. When I go to B&M I always try to pick a table where I'm familiar with the players at the very least, regardless of whether or not they play loose or tight.

I've been playing 6 Max...data mining hardly works at all...too much turnover. PokerAce will tell me the VPIP is 56%, I open it up and there is only one guy being shown.

What I have had success at is scanning for stack sizes. I like to find a table with 5, that has 3 with less than a buy in, and one with no more than 2x a buyin.

These tables are usually timid with no more than one aggressive player, if that.

And, most of the table is probably not playing spectacularly well.
