Exactly how I would have played it. I'm guessing he has small pockets?

By the way, he had 22 and called the whole way.

Think of how you'd have played it with KK or AA...also keep in mind that I'm a 17/9/3.4 player...and that I had only played 3 hands to that point. I showed KK, and JJ, and winning w/o showdown with AK.

I would check behind on the river. He's not folding unless he missed his flush draw, in which case you probably win w/ Ace high anyway unless he paired his seven or eight. Given what you said your play had been up until this hand, he is obviously a fool, but that is a good thing right? He will call you down w/ 22 when you have your KK or set. In the long run he is +EV for you as long as you dont bluff him past the flop or turn given the situation. "dont bluff, calling station" would be the note at the top of my list on this guy.
