Learn the harmonica and depress all of your co-workers with real depressing songs about the good old days.

While I think floppymyflush's suggestion might be the most unrealistic, it is the funniest.

There's always the french harp which might be easier to learn then the harmonica.

Actually, what do you do? Maybe that will give me some ideas.

But still go with the accordian.

Or learn how to make those little toy monkeys that plays the cymbals for you! Like the one that the genie turned Abu into in Alladin....

what the hell did I start here? :o I don't know how to play any instuments since I played the flute-o-phone in 3rd grade, then quit music the next year.

I do play backgammon pretty well and usually beat anyone playing Internet backgammon through windows xp (which probably isn't a good judge of my game).

I guess i could just keep starting topics like this and see how crazy people can get with their ideas. I mean, how the hell did I go from playing backgammon to teaching a monkey to play cymbals?!?!?!?!

What do you do for a job? Or rather...

Are you around a lot of people? Inside? What?

The title says it all.......NOTHING most of the time.

I work part time at an appraisal company as on office assistant. only a 4 person office (including me) and I sit in front of a computer waiting for something from my boss to do which normally takes me 20 minutes then i sit back in front of my computer. Every once in a while i work through the entire day (only 4 hours a day) but that's rare so at least half my time is spent goofing off on a computer.

Since this obviously isn't a career or high paying, I have started to rely on poker to cover other costs and produce savings. I apply for other jobs but they all suck i'm not qualified but still don't want to really do it. Its not that i'm lazy.....well yes i am.....but I have no idea what I want to do so poker is the best option right now.

I am tempted to play it in the office when my boss is not there and I KNOW I will be sitting there for 4 hours like today, but I ethically can't bring myself to do it. Therefore, I need something I can do to kill the time since after 8 months of this, I'm running dry on ideas.

Then the toy monkey sounds like your best option. Hell, if you looked hard enough, I bet you could find a whole band of plastic rockers. Get your cymbal monkey, a little plastic "drummer boy", one of those old-school alligators with the little piano, and I'm sure you could find a lead guitarist.

Then bust out your accordian and BAM! New hit single.
