200nl - lay down cowboys preflop?

Postby Stelvask » Wed Feb 16, 2005 11:13 pm

200 nl. 1/2 blnds on stars.

I'm in the SB with $225. the BB has me covered, CO has 180. the CO is unknown, but the BB seems solid - at least, he hasn't done anything stupid that i've seen in the 20 minutes or so i've been at the table.

i get [Ks][Kc] .

First three spots limp to the CO, who raises to $14. i reraise $20 more to $34. the BB reraises $37 more to $71. it folds back to me.

Now i've got to think to myself. the BB is facing a solid CO raise, followed but a solid reraise. is he really reraising me here with AK or QQ?

I figure i'm up against at least the last KK, if not the final AA. I decide it's better to fold the winning hand then stay with the losing hand - i just don't have the odds to outdraw what my gut tells me is AA.

so who else lays this down?

I remember reading Cloutier's book and him saying that the 3rd reraise is always AA. Grea tfold if you did....I'ts very hard for me to laydown kings online. Too many players that have no idea what they are doing. I'd probably still relucktantly call this. Hey i've got 2 outs if I'm wrong :)
