GC blues Questions

Postby Jeffm351 » Sun Feb 20, 2005 7:30 pm

Heya,
Iv been playing @ GC this week after following posts by several members, and its been extremly wild and unpredictable play for me there so far. Iv had days where I won $85.00 on the .10-20 NL tables in 4 hrs, and days where I lost as much in less time. Mostly to flush/str8 chasers that WILL NOT FOLD to any size bet to get them off the draw. I get AA in the hole and raise preflop 5BB to $1.00 and get 5 callers... one a 67 off suit, flop comes down j62 rainbow, I make a pot size bet, only 2 fold, my unsuited connecter freind calls and catches a 7 on the turn and takes the pot of more than $25.00 w/ 2pr HELLO? Im very frustrated w/ this type of play, I know in the long run it should be very profitable, but its kicking my a$$ at the moment.
For the first time since iv started playing poker online im in the negative for the week (only a few bucks but still negative). My game IMO is as good as its ever been, but my results do not show it.
My past experiences have been that I seem to loose to wild players, and win slow but steady to better, more predictable players. This may belong in the rants section, but any advice from peeps that have been there and done that is appreciated.
Sincerely
JeffM

Any time you are raising 5BBs and getting 5 callers, you need to crank up your raises. Make it 8-10BBs and see what happens.

Normally, that would be too much, but alot of players at that level dont see it as X% of their stack, they see it as $1 and think "ah screw it lets see a flop". Thats fine if they want to see a flop with 87 for 5BBs, but when you get 5 people doing it, youre in trouble.

Maybe you should try a different site. PokerStars is full of rocks. It might be what you are looking for.
