I think you should probably loosen up, but I have no idea as to what hands might be playable here. It depends on what everyone else does. You might be able to play Sklansky loose in what would normally be considered a tight game.

Drawing hands really go down in value after the turn and you have better opportunities to protect your made hands.

On a tangential note, the local B&M here has a game similair to the UB mini blinds, but one that lets you chase your draws a bit more. Blinds are 1 & 2. Flop bet is 2, turn 4, river 8. So it's just like 2/4 except the river is double bet size.

I may be crazy, but, I don't worry much about the blinds, I treat them as the cost to play. Especially when they rake them both, like in most B&M's.

I don't know why I should modify my game for them, when they aren't even there after the flop.

A wiseman once said "In a game without forced bring, antes or blinds only a fool would open without the nuts" --StellarWind from 2+2

Im sure that I butchered that quote, but you get th idea.

Think about what mini-blinds effectively does for a hand. There is going to be less drawing odds on the flop so one would think that implied odds hands would go down a bit. I am sure that some adjustments in the blinds would need to be made, as you no longer will have good odds to call draws postflop. So I believe the answer would be to play a bit tighter in general. Table dynmaics will still drive most of your preflop decisions.

Read the Theory of Poker. Seriously.

The posted blinds are 1-2, but to see a flop it still costs $4, correct?

No, it costs $2, unless there is a raise of course.

And thanks for the reading advice.
