This Seems Amazing To Me

Postby GreaterThanU » Sun Mar 19, 2006 2:38 pm

Last night I played a $10 SNG at 4:30 in the morning cause let's face it, what else can you do at 4:30am while eatin McGriddles?

Anyway...I was amazing. I knocked out the first person on the first hand. When it got to 5 handed I was amazed when I realized I had knocked out the first 4 people. Then we got 3 handed...I had knocked out the first 6 people....we got heads up...I had knocked out everyone up until then...then I busted him...

I knocked out everyone in the SNG. Is this something that happens that often?

You're better than Greg Raymer, who only knocked out six of his eight opponents at the final table of the 2004 WSOP Main Event.

Seriously, that's a pretty impressive feat, and no, it doesn't happen often. In fact, it's probably pretty rare.

yea i did it at a 10+1 the other day as well. no bad beats either, its an incredible feeling just couldn't lose and they were mostly donks who couldnt lay down a hand anyway. i knocked out at least four on chk raises, you would think they would realize eventually that a chk raise means they're beat but no... thats why mixing up your play at those levels is overated... keep it simple.

another great feeling is when you come across a really tight/passive table. the other day on the bubble I noticed that the VPIP was between 15-18% for the whole table. blinds were at 100/200 i started raise 3xbb every hand any position. I did this 5 times straight, take a few hands off and start again. I'm raising total crap and thinking to myself 'ok someone will push over this hand'.... never happened! sweet.
