After a couple month hiatus, I play a few SNGs in a row...

The past two months I've been exclusively playing LHE. After playing 10 SNGs, I remember why I switched to limit for a while.

My first 3 SNGs... I was outdrawn by THREE runner runner flushes. People tell me the variance in limit sucks.. not even CLOSE to as much as this shit. In SNGs, people are forced to push with weaker hands than normal. Instead of losing a couple more BBs in Limit, you lose the entire tournament and your 30 minutes have gone to complete waste. You have to start up a whole new one!

Today I had better luck. I wish my Jets had better luck... stupid fucking punt returner muffing the catch!! So I've already been drinking a good amount. I'm pissed at my Jets... I decide, fuck it, I can afford the $44. I fire up 4 SNGs on PP. One of them I get outdrawn by runner runner trips (he initially called with just a flush draw) when I had TPTK with AK. The other three I play decently - 3rd, 2nd, 1st. I can't believe I came in 2nd in that one... I raised pre-flop with T9s. Flop was J83. He checks to me and I bet the pot - putting me all-in. He calls with QUEEN HIGH and wins!

AGH!! I completely forgot how frustrating these SNGs were.

Another quality moment... 5 players remaining. Folded to the button. Loose button min-raises. I have 98s in BB and push all-in (fuck you, trying to take my blind!). He calls with...

JACK
NINE
OFFSUIT

AGGHHH!!!!

Aren't I so cute when I'm drunk?

I still made $165 in two hours of poker tonight. No complaints! (And one hour was while drunk)
