Best Sit and Go investment

Postby ChipMagnet » Thu Sep 01, 2005 8:00 am

I am looking at the payout structure for SnGs on Ultimate Bet. For $5 + .50 I can play a single table SnG, a two table SnG or a three table SnG.

Payouts are as follows:

One Table Two Table Three Table

1st $25 $40 $52.50

2nd $15 $30 $37.50

3rd $10 $20 $28.50

4th $0.00 $10 $19.50

5th $0.00 $0.00 $12.00

It is obvious that the three table pays more, but I would think it also takes more time to play. Is there any reshearch that shows which is the most profitable way to go?

Chip,

I prefer the one table games because......

You can multi-table several easily (particularly at UB with the mini-view).

You only have to outlast/outwit/outplay 7 opponents at UB, giving you better odds of winning some sweet moolah

Time impact is significant. You could theoretically play 6 single table SNGs in the same time you play 1 3 person table.
Good, you?

I've played quite a few 2 table ones between $4-16 buyin and players seemed unable to grasp tactical issues of not trying to limp in multi way with high blind/stack ratios, being unable to fold Q-10o PF.

I like them but I've all but stopped playing tournies now.
