I fold here. My guess is that he probably already has a flush of some stripe.

My guess is the baby flush. And I'm not going to fight him for it here.

He has the [Ac] most of the times, which gives him 11 outs times 2. If he has paired his kicker he's got 13 outs and is basically coinflipping. He does not have a made flush. He could have two-pair which is a coinflip... he could also be on a stone cold bluff or just have a pair and no re-draw.

1750 in the pot and 850 to call...

Most of the time this will be a coinflip (some of the time you will crush him). You have more than 40% of your stack in the pot already. You are getting very good pot odds. I think you have to call here. :(

If it were a cash game, I'd call. In a SNG, I fold.

Yes, I will be crushed by a good player by folding here. But the majority of these players are awful. I don't want to gamble with them early on when I can crush them later. I ended up placing first in this specific SNG.

No, I was not severely short-stacked. No, I do not believe pot odds should be anything more than a guideline in SNGs when it costs you the rest of your stack. When you lose, you're out. In a cash game that's fine since I can buy back in knowing I had the best of it and I'll take his money later. Early on in a SNG, I avoid these confrontations.

Stone, like I said, if it were later in the tourney, then I would not even consider folding here. This is not a routine fold for me or anything of the sort. I generally play weak-tight early on with the blinds puny, and change gears when the blinds approach 50/100.

Maybe I should change my name.
