What in the world happened you ask. It was not varience, the odds catching up, bad play or any of that kind of stuff. It was a change in playing style. The first ten games were played with a modifeid version of the NashVegas' Beginners System. The last eleven games were played aggressively trying to get chips with the ideal of winning first place or nothing. Either win it all or finish 8th, 9th or 10th.
As you can see I finished 6th or worst six of the eleven games. A lot of these games (just about all of them really) I lost on the turn or river with what people call suckouts. My analysis is this: I was out drawn more the last eleven games, because I was in more pots. As a result I had more opportunties to be out drawn.
I know most of you will say that this sample size is to small to prove anything, but I disagree. I beleive consistent results show something, regardless of what they teach in Stat class.
Anyway I am well convinced that playing tight in the early rounds is the way to consistently win money in small stakes SnG's
Now I will start a new log. I will start with a bank roll of 67.15 and start playing $5 STT with the ideal of consistently finishing in the money. I believe that if I am consistent in finishing In The Money, the Return On Investment will take care of itself.
I know you veterans already know all of this and more, I just hope this helps those who are new to SnG's to except that TIGHT IS RIGHT in the early stages.
