Hit a bad patch today

Postby kdiddy33 » Wed Aug 03, 2005 1:41 pm

Rough day today, OTM in 5 $11s, 1 $22 and 1 $5.50 (don't ask). I had everything go wrong that could, got short-stacked far too often and didn't even make it to 4th place once!!!!

The final game I played today, a guy 4 BB raised into my kings early on, I went over the top all in, only to have another player go over the top on me (with aces). The first idiot calls both our all ins with 10s!!!! Guess what, he hit a 10 on the flop and filled it up to take us both down. That was enough for today. I did clear a $20 bonus from FT which minimized the pain a bit, but this was definitely a rough patch.

Other examples, a guy early on goes 4X bb with his kings and I fold my jacks (out of respect for the good size raise) - 2 jacks hit the flop!!!!

Another guy pushed all in on another player who had re-raised him with his pocket 9s UTG with AJ sooooooooted, I lay down my AQ soooted onlyl to see a flop with 2 queens and an ace hit the river, giving the hand to the AJ toolbox.

Just venting a little bit. I didn't go on tilt throughout this patch, which I'm proud of, but it just didn't go my way at all today. Gets back in there tomorrow to slug it out with dem fishes.
Good, you?

I took a few hours break in the afternoon. Then I played two at home. 5th place and finally back in the money with a 3rd (of course this is actually a -$4 situation in the $11s).

Anyways, you just have to work through these things.
