How About the $50 SNG's at Party??

Postby WildBillHickok » Thu Aug 25, 2005 5:05 pm

...are these similar to $20 and $30 sng's at UB? Anyone play the $50's at PP? Kowboy or anyone? or at Poker Stars?

Maybe i'll just have to find out for myself...

Well... you STILL don't get enough chips (1000 v. 1500)... Blinds still go up by hands instead of by time... The players are generally worse than at UB or Stars, as usual...

I actually like playing Stars better than UB, mostly cause they don't have that stupid "Bet Pot" button that UB has... Though, you don't get paid as much, as they only seat 9..

Yes, you get 1500 at Stars as well as at UB. And at several others, for that matter.

I find the SNGs on Stars to be easy up to the $100 level. Even at that level there are still rich donkeys but from $20-$50 I don't see much of a reason to change the basic SNG strat of being patient to start and loosening up when the blinds are of actual value.

I have not played too many SNG's lately, but I am a HUGE fan of PStars...1500 in chips allow you to be pretty tight early on, and it gives the others more time to make mistakes as well...I have played a few at other sites (Party etc) with lower starting stacks, and I feel like a "fish" out of water...The players are a bit better at stars, but the games are very beatable...(My experience is VERY limited at the 20s and higher)...I look forward to hearing about the 'Party" experience...

After several sng's at PS...i find the $20 sngs there are like the $5 ones at UB...and the $30 sngs are like the $10 sngs at UB...building my roll and heading for the $50's.
