ITM w/ the nut str8 on a 3flush board...

Postby MVPSPORTS » Mon Apr 10, 2006 3:07 pm

Okay... So the dealer gave me some shit for this, and the guy was a REEEEEEEEEEAL asshole about it...

$140 live SNG... We're ITM, each with about even stacks... I would say Villan is decent, especially for a live SNG... He made a MONSTER call to knock the 4th guy out... Went somethin like...

Villian is Button and limps, jackball in SB completes, a buddy, who is a really good player, checks...

FLOP QJJ... checks around...
TURN 5... checks around...
RIVER 2... SB goes allin for 2500 into a 1200 pot... My buddy folds... Dood just goes, I call I know you're full of shit... Flips over a 5... Other dood mucks...

So, on to this hand... We each have around 5k or so... Villian limps... buddy completes, I check w/ [Jd] [9h] ...

FLOP [Th] [8h] [As] ... Checks around...
TURN [7h] ... SB checks, I bet pot, he calls...
RIVER [3s] ... What's the right play here... ? I have the nut str8 3 handed... Can I REALLY only put him on the flush??? If I push here, shouldn't he call with a TON of hands that I beat also...???

What are the flippin' blinds at this point? If it's one of those South Florida Seminole-style tournaments, I'm sure they're way up there at this point, right? How much is in the pot?

Details, details.

I think Tommy has a good read here. I'll pay off a flush in this case, as you rarely are up against a flush 3handed, and he's played it pretty badly if he's got it. I think he's full of it this time, or he's not nearly as good as he thinks.

And...shoot the dealer in the head.

CJ

ps--I would have bet the flop

Am I going to have to hold your coat often in Vegas?
