Multi-tabling and why does everyone hate Party Poker?

Postby superstusemple » Sun Feb 26, 2006 11:56 am

Would you recommend i begin multi tabling the $6 SNGs on party?
I've played 44 tournaments so far with an ROI of 42% and ITM of 47.7%
I have a bankroll of $140 - too low I know, but there's not much I can do about it.
If you would recommend it then how many at a time?
Also, why does everyone prefer not to play SNGs at Party Poker? IMO all the players I've encountered so far are pretty easy to play against.
Thanks
Stuart

No one can recommend another player do something. That's for you to decide. However, should you decide to do something successfully, I'll be more than happy to take credit for it. :)

I don't think anyone "hated" Party Poker in its previous incarnation. I didn't like it because it took away any edge I may have because I play decently post-flop, far better than most low buyin players. The structure rewarded those who preferred pre-flop pushes.

I can't speak about the new structure, as I haven't played any.

I don't mind PP at all :) in fact im playing 2 sngs there atm. I think with a roll of $140 you could probably play 2 - 3 of the $6s at a time, although i wouldn't recommend it if you haven't multi-tabled before. The players are definitely poor at Party and and with the new structure it's possible to play well post-flop and not push-bot to achieve a good ROI.

SNG Suggestion

Postby Kidoubled » Mon Feb 27, 2006 2:32 pm

Just a thought...

You might want to stagger the start times of the two Sitngo tourney's so the end game is easier to play and you can get better reads as it get down to a heads up match.. I play on Party, mostly the $11 Sitngo's and there is much more of an "Endgame" to them now with the new format.. I can't imagine going headsup on two tables at once, my head would explode!! Of course, many on this forum could handle that no problem, I'm not one of them though.. Staggering the start times would help avoid such a circumstance.

Best of luck!

I often keep them going continuously. When the blinds get to the stealing point, I start another. One finishes as the cheese goes to binding on the other.

50 cents is 10% of a $5 buy in as $1 is 10% of a $1 buy in......

What you want to avoid is paying $1 in juice on a $5 buy in. That is dumb.
Good, you?
