Need some help on hands and bankroll

Postby tunkpirate7 » Mon Apr 03, 2006 3:41 pm

Okay, I know this is a very small sample size, but I would like to know now before I lose another 25 or so of my 150 bankroll if this is a big enough roll for 5+.75 sngs. (I know that if I'm a losing player than a roll can never be big enough but I don't think... or at least I hope this isn't the case)

Okay, so Noble gave me 20 bucks for free since my acct had been inactive for awhile or something. I've been messing around and have gotten it up to 150 (with a high of 240 or so). I was doing decent at cash games, but really I was just having very good weeks followed by a bad week followed by a break even week or so. I've played the 6-handed sngs at noble before and have beaten them, but now they offer 10 handed "jackpot" sngs where if you win 5 in a row you get a 22k jackpot (not what I'm after, as I figure my odds of winning 5 in a row is about 1 in 3000 (or worse looking at my stats right now)). So anyway I've been keeping track and here's what we have so far.

I only started keeping track of my losing hands in the last few so yeah

Sit N Go stats

23 total - $132.25 in entrance and fees
2 wins (25 apiece)
5 seconds (15 apiece)
1 thirds (10 apiece) =135 in winnings

losing hands:

AAvsA7 all in pf (outdrawn)
99vsAQ all in flop of 2/t/t (outdrawn)
K7vsKK all in pf (short stacks big blinds)
92vsQT all in on T/7/6 flop (steal bet gone wrong)
k4 of clubsvsQ7 all in on 4s/6c/8c flop (outdrawn)
66vs99 all in pf (bad decision :( )
A8vsK7 all in on flush draw
A9vsAK all in pf (three handed)
J9vsJQ all in on flop of j/8/7
97vsJT all in pf (heads up)
8T vs 22 all in on turn of 8/2/6/8 (I hate losing to sets)
A9vsK9 all in pf (outdrawn for a 4th place loss)
84vsJ9 of clubs all in on turn of 2c/6/10c/8s(coinflip for a 4th place finish)
TJvsKJ all in on flop of j/j/6 (second best hand for a 4th place finish)

Mind you most of these have been 5th place losses, with only a few 6th and no 7th 8th 9th or 10th losses thus far.

I'm only up 4 right now for approx.+$.25 ev per

Am I overvaluing weak hands? How about top pair with weak kicker when it gets to 4h-5h? How should I overcome this... If i only have 14x BB raise 3x pf and catch top pair with k9, q9, whatever there's no way I lay it down.. is there anything I can do? raise simply to steal then let it go if I get reraised or raised on any flop? Well, I'm off to reread the front page articles... any tips, hints, criticism, even words of encouragement are welcome and wanted.

In order to get a good read you have to post some of the whole HH for those hands with any reads you might have.
Can't say much about these hands like this.

Bankroll is good, and stats are too small.

If you gonna post some hands don't take the obvious unlucky hands like the AA vs A7 but the hands you had to think about before playing them.
