O8B S&G

Postby killme » Thu Nov 17, 2005 12:18 am

Anybody else frequent the O8B $30 sit and gos. I have played them on and off since I got pokertracker and have 13 tournaments logged with 11 1sts and 2 2nds (includes 4 $10 and 1 $5). Are these players this horrible? Maybe there is less established strategy for 08B S&G. I study holdem and PL O8b rings quite a bit, but mostly just mess around with S&Gs when Im bored or dont want to risk and $$. Seems like players are super passive and can be dominated when the blinds get big enough to mean something. Heads up I usually just fold to potential non-nut free roles and wait for the other guy to make a mistake. I guess I just amazed to do so well since I play a pretty loose game. ~35% vpip skewed towards the bigger blinds. And 14% PFR also skewed to the bigger blinds. I know my sample is tiny, but it shows very litle variance.

Thanks for the welcome. Playing on Party. By avoiding getting freerolled I mostly mean not going all the way with hands like over pairs and top pairs heads up on low boards when the blinds get huge. Also no calling flush draws etc without a low. Playing for half the pot when a post and a bet has you pot commited is not good.
