$22 Party Reg. JJ Early

Postby Big_Leon » Tue Jun 27, 2006 8:49 pm

This is actually another hand from the same game I posted about earlier where my underfull died on the river. I missed a few nut draws as well so I've managed to lose about half my starting stack by this point. No reads on villian, he doubled up early when some idiot whiffed the flop w/ AK and moved all-in.

Gotta call here, he's pushing with a huge range and rarely is it a T. I would raise more preflop too.
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

Raise more pre-flop. Say to 240.

Insta-call on flop.

Try to make it at least 4x the bb when someone has limped infront of you, especially when the blinds are this low.

I stick pretty close to a standard formula proposed on 2p2:

3 or 4x BB + 1 BB per limper. I also make it more expensive if I will be out of position throughout the hand. Here you had two limpers AND you were out of position, yet you only raised it 3x BB.
