Pushing JJ into strength

Postby striker2550 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 8:16 pm

This is LIMIT 10+1 sng
On the flop when mp1 raised I figured him for a bigger pair or AK.
When the turn is an undercard I figure Im gonna push and if he has a bigger pr than im out, but if Im good then it really puts me way ahead in chips.
So, do u push like I did for a big lead? Or do u fold to live to fight it out later?
How would u play the hand?

Yeah, I have to agree with Golden. I think you have to push it from the beginning.

I agree whole heartily. The reason I didnt was that I was thinking I would see the flop as cheap as possible and drop the hand quick. I was thinking it was still a little too early in the sng to start pushing hooks. Was that totally wrong?

And on the flop when mp1 raised, I seriously considered folding. Would that have been a bad fold considering that at that point I figured him for a higher pr than mine?

MP1 has Kh Kc (one pair, kings).
Hero has Js Jh (one pair, jacks).
CO has 6d Qd (one pair, sixes).
Outcome: MP1 wins 15.73 BB (t4720).
I do not think, therefore I am not.
