I agree you certainly have to be more disciplined to play this way. I'm not perfect there. I'd say about 20% of the times I lose a tournament it's because of my bad play instead of bad luck (bad cards, bad beats, etc). Most of my bad play is from lack of discipline - knowing I should fold, but not doing it. Usually I would fold when I know I should, but occasionally I slip up.

I should emphasize... you are not playing these hands for a middling pair. You are hoping for a straight/flush, two-pair, or set. Something to crack people overplaying their TPTK/overpair hands since they will certainly put all their money in the middle.
