steps

Postby gnarus » Mon Aug 15, 2005 5:21 pm

I dont play at party so I've invented my own "steps" program.

When I log on for a session, I write down how much money I have. Then I play 10/1 sit & go's until I am up at least 33 bucks.

I play 1 30/3 game. If I take 1st or second I move up to the 50/5 which my winnings more then cover, 3rd place I reapt the 30/3, o/w I write down my new account balance and start back at the 10/1.

At the 50/5 if I take 1st I move up to the 100/9. 2nd or 3rd repeat the 50/5. o/w I write down my new account balance and start back at the 10/1.

1st at 100/9 & play once at the 200/15. 2nd or 3rd repeat 100/9.
o/w drop down to 10/1.

1st place I repeat at the 200/15. 2nd or 3rd and I restart at the 100/9 level, o/w go back to the 10/1.

Just starting today will let u know if it works. Any thoughts??

I don't follow

Why would I need a bankroll that supports 200/15. I'm only playing that if I win my way there. All I need is a bankroll that supports 10/1 which is the idea behind "steps" In my steps I would never be moving backwards, unless I was moving backwards at the 10/1 level. I think this will allow me to occasionaly play a higher limit then my bankroll would o/w support.

btw

obviously that wasnt the last hand. My next hand I was delt 5, 3 off & went allin (500/250 blind at this point) he called with ace 9(tough decision....not)

In retrospect this may have been a bad decision. the 250 blind was 1/4 of my stack but a strong probability that he would call with 2 higher cards. I think perhaps I should have folded & defended my big blind no matter what the next hand. Agree?
