is telling you about this book.

The Poker Tournament Formula by Arnold Snyder

Anyone who insists on playing tournament poker must read this book. The premise of the book is how to win fast-structured MTTs. So why am I posting it here? (aside from the fact that I'm the moderator of THIS forum and can do anything I want?)

The biggest contribution of Snyder's book is a primer on how to play small ball! At least it has been for me.

i've been trying for the last six months to get it down. I've read The Little Green Book over and over. The Final Table by Eric Lindgren at least twice. Kill Phil is becoming pretty dog-eared. Yet, I couldn't quite get it. Then, I ran across this book, and that did it. I got it. It took awhile to realize it, but I finally did get it.

My game has really jumped a level, and when I've played SNGs lately, I am in complete control of my game and very often in control of the table. I lose to better cards, not by my own mistakes. I can grab chips early, control opponents far better than I have before, and my results have been satisfying. Plus, I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

Get this book. It may be the best $20 investment you can make. Read it. Practice. Discuss it here.

You can send me a cut of the money you're going to make. That would make up for the money this is going to cost me.

Hmmm, old Arnold is at it again eh? Without reading it, but i will have to, i'd say it probably has some merit...Arnold wrote Black Belt in Blackjack many years ago and was my bible back then...it was solid solid read and may have been the best book on BJ ever written...soooo, i look forward to this one.

Is it similar to Slansky's all in system?

the fact that the speed of the blinds affects the your relateve "M" seems so self evident, just as it does playing short handed.

The "M" is a measure of how many rounds of play you have left, well if the blinds are increasing quickly, that definitely has an effect on how many rounds you have left.
